Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain PL/SQL code for various applications, including procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries to support applications and reports.
- Work closely with business analysts and end-users to gather report requirements and translate them into Crystal Reports.
- Create and customize Crystal Reports for various business needs, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and usability.
- Perform unit testing and debugging of PL/SQL code and Crystal Reports to ensure high reliability and performance.
- Collaborate with other developers, database administrators, and stakeholders to integrate PL/SQL solutions with other applications and systems.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for PL/SQL queries and Crystal Reports.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and best practices in PL/SQL development and reporting tools.
Mandatory Requirements:
- 7+ years of proven experience as a PL/SQL Developer with a solid understanding of Oracle databases (Oracle 11g/12c/19c).
- Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and packages.
- Experience in designing, developing, and optimizing Crystal Reports.
- Ability to analyze user requirements and translate them into technical specifications and reports.
- Knowledge of performance tuning techniques for PL/SQL and SQL queries.
- Experience with other reporting tools such as SAP Business Objects, SSRS, or Tableau.
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and Agile methodologies.
- Certification in Oracle PL/SQL or Crystal Reports would be a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate project goals and objectives, project status and deliverables with senior executives
- Strong verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivating and being able to plan your work.
Education:
- A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field is preferred.
Work Environment:
- Office Environment
- Remote only within Canada
- It is expected, at this time, you may be required as part of the job function to travel up to 10%
