The CIQ Solution team is seeking an outstanding Cloud Engineer to support Cloud Solution Engineering teams in a major technology migration effort and support create and maintain cloud infrastructure.
The Cloud Solution Engineering team is tasked to work on and govern the cloud accounts bootstrapping. Facilitating CIQ team with cloud migration and cloud infrastructure creation and maintenance. This team aim to be cloud native with modernization and reduce cloud cost.
This is a critical role in the organization since CIQ is heavily dependent on external teams for these tasks and we would build an in-house team to overcome this gap. Therefore, the Cloud Engineer needs to be an AWS subject matter expert and have engineering skills.
The Cloud Engineer II will work directly with technical leadership, product development teams, and cloud vendors, providing substantial opportunities for skills development and career growth.
General Job Duties
- As a member of a Cloud Engineering team, execute cloud core engineering responsibilities for cloud migration and application modernization projects.
- Report to management on project status, identify issues that may impede attainment of goals, and accept direction on corrective measures.
- Guide team cooperation as part of a project/program.
- Continuously expand knowledge in area of specialization, mentor junior team members to develop knowledge and skills related to duties.
- Perform other duties as required.
Specific Job Duties
- Lead the high-level infrastructure design, selection of cloud technology, and support the infrastructure build.
- Support the architectural review process and assist with remediation to standards.
- Develop and maintain blueprints to support Cloud migration and application modernization initiatives.
- Perform migration cost impact analysis.
- Identify and engage subject matter experts to resolve solution engineering challenges.
- Ensure alignment to enterprise security standards and compliance.
- Support efforts for process improvement through recognizing opportunities proactively or via problem resolution
- Facilitate between product teams and professional services as required to resolve blockers.
- Support and champion the Agile Scrum development methodology.
- Report status and progress to leadership.
Skills/Experience Requirements
- 3-6 years’ experience in IT systems engineering
- Practical experience with the Amazon Web Services cloud. Experience with Azure Web Services and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is considered a plus.
- Proficient at self-guided analysis and problem solving.
- Passion and curiosity for solving problems.
- Professional certification is a plus.
- Must possess exceptional communication skills and relationship management.

- Reports to Cloud Automation Lead
- Interacts with other colleagues at all levels in the conduct of day-to-day activities.
External Relationships
- Actively participates in the internal or external professional community, user groups, forums.
- Interacts with internal and external clients and partners as required.
