The Opportunity

Broadcom’s WatchTower Platform for Mainframe AIOps solution delivers breakthrough advances in mainframe observability. It streamlines crucial problem identification and remediation processes by integrating operational tools, workflows, data, and insights from various sources. To reduce complexity and noise, the platform utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).  The outcome equips operations staff of all skill levels with the necessary resources to efficiently manage system alerts and resolve issues.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to support our WatchTower software development teams.  Specifically, someone with broad experience managing CI/CD pipelines using source code build systems like Jenkins and SCM systems like Git.  Proficiency with Linux and Kubernetes operating systems.  EJOB IS FROM: italents.netVIEWxpertise in configuring, automating and debugging z/OS infrastructure, middleware and workloads is highly desirable.

What You’ll Do

• Document processes and procedures

• Troubleshoot issues across various environments

• Monitor system performance and implement security measures

• Manage and maintain mainframe, distributed and cloud infrastructures

• Implement and manage continuous integration and deployment processes

• Work with development and IT teams to resolve issues and improve efficiency

• Implement and manage containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes

• Collaborate with developers to automate and streamline operations and processes

What You Need

• Experience in GitHub version control system

• Familiarity with containerization technologies

• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash, Python

• Experience with automation tools like Jenkins, Ansible

• 12 or more years of experience in software development

• Strong background in software development and IT operations

• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

• Experience with code quality tools like SonarQube, Coverity, Black Duck

• Experience in the following areas as a plus:

  • Zowe

  • RHEL

  • REST APIs

  • IBM CICS, MQ and Db2 

  • Docker, Kubernetes, Helm

  • IBM z/OS SAF configuration

  • IBM z/OS Operating System and Subsystems

  • IBM z/OS System Management and Automation tooling

  • Security Certificate management and SSL configurations

  • Jenkins, Git, Gradle, Artifactory, Cypress, Playwright, npm

Compensation and Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $127,000  - $203,000

This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
