Job Summary:

The Maritime Systems & Platforms Software Department is comprised of a team of over 100 software engineers working collaboratively across multiple sites, with internal and external customers and programs to provide tactical solutions, modeling & simulation of sensing & effects capabilities, software and system integration & testing, and software modernization & release pipelines.

This position is for a Software Engineering Intern working in Tewksbury, MA who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Senior or Post Graduate standing level by the start of Summer 2025.

• You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving in the field of software engineering to analyze work across a wide range of intriguing computational problems.

Qualifications You Must Have

This position is for an intern who is enrolled in a Bachelor’s (or higher) degree program in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and will be at minimum, entering their (Junior, Senior or Post Grad year) by the start of summer 2025.

Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is
required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S.
citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer
Specific majors: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline
Knowledge of C++, Java, or Python
Quick learner and motivated
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures who represent a diversity of work and conflict resolution styles.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
