Overview
The Modern Identity and Access engineering team is looking for a principal security engineer who is leader in the identity and access management for cybersecurity. They should be well versed in risk, and governance, be highly motivated, and can support and guide junior teammates.
In this role you will:
• Envision how Mastercard will modernize Identity and Access Management.
• Ensure that access is appropriately handled when all identity lifecycle events (e.g., Joiner, Mover, Leaver) occur.
• Improve procedures and feature sets on how Identity and Access Management is handled in complicated and mixed technology environment, included on premise, cloud and subsidiaries.
• Provide technical design and architecture advice to internal teams on how to take advantage of services as it relates to the products the team supports for Identity and Access Management.

• Lead and support a migration from a legacy Identity Access and Governance tool to a modern product. This includes building the connectivity to multiple environments, platforms and applications.

• Evangelize these services to the rest of the enterprise and drive change by fostering enthusiasm for modern Identity governance.
• Review project documentation, including maintaining technical documents and business requirements.
• Raise opportunities for improvement to senior leadership.
• Apply technical capabilities within own discipline to coach and develop junior resources
• Define platform architecture and drives strategy execution.
• Understand and define security requirements and policies following industry best practices and regulatory compliance and to ensure repeatable processes.
All About You
The ideal candidate for this position should have:
• An appreciation and clear mission for how users interact with Mastercard’s governance platform for the cloud, focusing on the customer journey and balancing security with a user-friendly design.
• Expert knowledge of Identity and Access Management concepts.
• Expert experience in implementing modern Identity Governance and Administration platforms, such as Sailpoint or Saviynt.
• Advanced skills in Powershell.
• Advanced skills in Azure Active Directory and/or Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Fundamental understanding of zero trust and the Identity pillar.
• Have knowledge and experience supporting API configuration as well as familiarity with standard identity and authentication protocols such as SAML, OpenID Connect, and SCIM
• The ability to develop project plans for complex initiatives for streamlined execution, prioritizing various work streams and customer needs.
• IT experience with demonstrated thought-leadership and cross-functional influence and partnership demonstrated by a successful track record of enabling business through these technical decisions.
• Able to lead project teams, collaborate with business partners, vendor/ consulting organizations and peer level professionals from other IT disciplines.
• Information Security Engineering experience including risk identification with options and compensating controls to remediate.
• Successful track record in identifying ways to move modern authentication services forward to keep up with the ever-changing technology & security landscape.
• Experience initiating and managing improvement in Identity and Access Management for the cloud by leveraging process metrics and customer feedback.
• Advanced understanding of security concepts and their application. This can be evidenced through certifications such as Security+, CISSP, and CIAM.
• National Initiative for Cybersecurity Education (NICE) competency proficiency levels of advanced in leadership, operational, and professional, to advanced and expert in technical.

Pay Ranges
Arlington, Virginia: $190,000 - $304,000 USD
