Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Sr Software Engineer to join our ViQi Virtual Partner team. As a software engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing automated workflows using chatbot technologies. Our goal is to enable fast, accurate, and natural communication between human operators and real-time systems.

Responsibilities and Expectations:

  • Develop mission-critical software solutions that are maintainable, testable, scalable, performant, and highly available.

  • Collaborate with an Agile team to review features, produce well-groomed stories, and provide estimates.

  • Promote and adhere to best practices in software architecture, coding standards, and quality assurance.

  • Providing guidance and mentoring to junior team members.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to coding best practices.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, such as implementing automated testing frameworks, improving performance optimizations, and enhancing development processes.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex software issues, working closely with cross-functional teams to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

  • Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and recommend their adoption to enhance the team's technical capabilities.

  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment and release processes.

  • Assist in defining and enforcing coding standards, development methodologies, and quality assurance processes.

  • Act as a technical subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other teams or departments within the organization.


Requirements:

  • 5+ years of software development experience, working with C# and Python.

  • Experience leveraging chatbot technologies and conversational design, such as AWS LexBot, GCP Dialogflow, Voiceflow, etc.

  • Expert knowledge of software design and best practices for the full development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing methodology, security, and audit/monitoring requirements.

  • Strong experience developing containerized solutions using Docker and Kubernetes, as well as serverless infrastructure like AWS Lambda.

  • Experience working with cloud-based solutions and configuration, specifically Azure, AWS, and GC.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to collaborate effectively in a multinational environment with teams spanning the globe.

Note: Candidate must reside in Eastern Time Zone.
