That is why we need you, an experienced Cybersecurity Operations Advisor who can develop and implement cybersecurity strategy and provide high-quality support.
As part of our team, you'll serve as a strategic technical consultant to the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), helping conceptualize, create, and execute advanced government-funded research and development programs to accelerate better health outcomes for everyone. Work with world-class scientists and engineers to support the development of high-impact solutions to society's most challenging health problems. Leverage technical expertise to provide strategic assessments of new technologies in support to senior ARPA-H decision makers. Maintain responsibility for producing and presenting findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients on the feasibility and potential impact of future research programs, assisting with the management of current programs, and facilitating commercialization of successfully developed technologies.
You'll serve as a Cybersecurity Advisor helping clients to develop and monitor cybersecurity procedures and leverage information security knowledge to help clients achieve their goals. You will be responsible for supporting the development of cybersecurity policies and operations and are readily available to shift your focus to fulfill emerging client requests. Your attention to detail, flexibility, communication skills, understanding of the client's mission, and problem-solving will enable the mission's success. You'll directly support the ARPA-H Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) with establishing and maintaining the future Cybersecurity Operations team within the CISO organization. You'll develop and maintain the ARPA-H Cybersecurity Operations concept of operations and associated standard operating procedures. You'll provide guidance, analysis, and expertise to the ARPA-H CISO on world-class policies, procedures, and processes for securing and defending organizational systems. You'll advise the Cybersecurity Operations team with hands-on activities to monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threat activity.

You Have:
10+ years of experience in cybersecurity
3+ years of experience in cybersecurity operations, including incident response
Experience communicating with senior-level executives, including SES or GS-15
Experience with using Microsoft Office products including, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Ability to operate independently within a fast-paced start-up environment
Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
Master’s degree
Nice If You Have:
Experience with U.S. Government health organizations
Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities
Ability to manage multiple short and long-term projects effectively
Ability to pay strict attention to details and diligent adherence to deadlines and deliverables
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
Vetting:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
