We need you to help us develop cloud-based solutions for some of the toughest problems. 

This is an opportunity to use the latest cloud technologies as you look for ways to improve your client’s environment using cloud capabilities. Your technical expertise will be vital as you work with your client to inform strategy and design and ensure standards are met throughout the cloud migration process. You’ll recommend tools and solutions based on your research of the environment and knowledge of various on-premises, cloud-based, and hybrid resources. You’ll lead your team as they help the client overcome their most difficult challenges in the cloud. As an Amazon Web Services (AWS) Cloud Engineer, you know how to use cloud capabilities. On our team of experts, you’ll use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to support your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We need you to help us develop Cloud-based solutions to our customer’s toughest challenges.

You’ll closely collaborate with fellow cloud engineers specializing in AWS to design, define, develop, test, and debug cloud solution components. You’ll have the chance to work within a DevOps framework to build and manage container apps and use products like Kubernetes to further the mission. With access to our internal Azure, AWS, and GCP labs, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our client’s challenges, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and your team to deliver the right technical solutions.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience with cloud engineering
  • Experience with AWS
  • Experience with application software development and databases
  • Experience with application architecture
  • Experience with Cloud development, migration, and implementation
  • Experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration
  • Experience with AWS native databases, including RDS for Oracle
  • Experience with DevOps methods and practices
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience with Identity Authentication and Authorization, including Single-Sign-On, SAML, or OpenID
  • Experience with Advanced Networking design and troubleshooting, including DNS, Routing, or Subnetting
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code, including Terraform, Cloud formation, or Configuration as Code such as AWS SSM, Ansible, PowerShell, or Bash
  • Knowledge of Ubuntu, RHEL, and Windows Server
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and GPO
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or AWS Certified Developer - Associate Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,600.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
