Core Responsibilities

You will develop, operate and maintain robust and scalable solutions for our LEGO factories around the world. Furthermore your tasks will include but not be limited to:

  • Building and operating high-availability solutions together with the product team and vendors.

  • Maintain and operate a robust and stable infrastructure within the boundaries of the product team’s responsibility and in close collaboration with other relevant teams, like network, security, server management a.o. This includes regular upgrades, patching etc.

  • Explore emerging technologies and methods, seeing opportunities for our platforms.

  • Working with DevSecOps: “you build it - you own it” (and run it) with a keen eye on secure code and security by design.

As a Software Engineer within the Manufacturing Domain you will join a team making architectural decisions, software development, and technology deployment throughout all manufacturing sites. Your role is important in evolving and deliver digital solutions supporting production of amazing LEGO® sets!

Manufacturing Technology is a distributed team that provides solutions and technology primarily used in factories and warehouses of the LEGO Group, e.g. for finished goods' packing, processing, warehousing and equipment maintenance.

As an associate software engineer in the Site Planning team you will be part of a team which supports the production planners of the LEGO Group, so we can bring play to children all over the world.

Do you have what it takes?

We encourage both candidates with a degree in a Software Engineering related field as well as experienced applicants within Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar to apply. Furthermore you have:

  • Interest in full-stack technical challenges from front-end development to network, security, databases and servers – from development perspective as well as operation.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and git-based source control.

  • Experience with at least one modern backend related programming language, e.g. Go, Rust or C#.

Nice to have

Experience with AWS or Azure implementations is a plus. Curiosity about getting an integrated view of how Site Planning fits into the LEGO® value chain
