Position Summary

A group of young investigators in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry at the Washington University School of Medicine are seeking to hire a skilled and passionate statistical data analyst (hybrid or remote) to join and amplify our growing team. This is a PT role with flexible hours, approximately 10-15 hours per week. We are devoted to improving the outcomes of preteens with mental health concerns and driven by a mission to enhance understanding of the role of social media in preteen health and development. In your role as a Statistical Data Analyst, you will bring your clinical research expertise to oversee the data management processes of our R01 study. This role is crucial to the success of our research efforts, requiring expertise in handling multiple data types, maintain the integrity of our databases, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Create, manage, and maintain the REDCap database for the project, ensuring data accuracy, security, and compliance with institutional and regulatory guidelines.
  • Oversee data collection, entry, and validation processes across various data types, including clinical assessments, biological/hormone data, and patient-reported outcomes (e.g., surveys).
  • Collaborate closely with the research coordinator, staff, and PIs to ensure seamless data flow and timely reporting.
  • Conduct regular data audits, monitor data quality, and address any discrepancies promptly.
  • Generate data reports and summaries for research teams, sponsors, and regulatory bodies as required, including data deposits into the NDA.
  • Create and organize datasets for use in manuscript submissions.
  • Provide training and support to research staff on data management best practices and REDCap usage.

Salary Range

$27.21 - $43.56 / Hourly

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
