RTL DESIGN ENGINEER 

 

THE ROLE:

We are seeking a Silicon Design Engineer our growing Wireless Engineering Digital Design team in Ireland. This is an exciting opportunity to join the innovative and multi-award winning team that has developed the RF data converter sub-system, including direct-RF digital signal processing, around which Zynq® Ultrascale+™ RFSoC is built.

 

As a Silicon Deisgn Engineer, you will be helping design and enable new and differentiating IP within our portfolio of cutting-edge semiconductor products. You will have the opportunity to wok with a team of talented engineers to architect and design complex IP and sub-systems and driving best-in-class performance per watt.

 

 

THE PERSON:

You have a passion for modern, complex processor architecture, digital design, and verification in general. You are a team player who has excellent communication skills. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills and are willing to learn and ready to take on problems. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, implementation and verification of digital logic including extensive signal processing functionality to support wireless communications standards such as 5G telephony, LTE and WiFi as well as radar and other applications
  • Interaction and coordination with architecture, physical and verification teams to ensure design meets functional requirements and performance targets

 

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

  • Project level experience with design concepts and RTL implementation for same using SystemVerilog
  • Knowledge of digital signal processing fundamentals
  • Good knowledge of modern digital verification techniques
  • Good awareness of physical implementation constraints on design and design optimization
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Ability to work well as part of a collaborative multi-site interdisciplinary team
  • Knowledge of tools and design flows such as synthesis, CDC checking, STA, DFx, power estimation and optimization.

 

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in computer engineering/Electrical Engineering
