SILICON IP FIRMWARE ENGINEER
THE ROLE:
We are looking for an experienced and passionate firmware engineer to join the NBIO team to participate in all aspects of FW development on IP sub-systems. Projects focus around PCIe and related technologies for I/O virtualization, shared virtual memory, I/O security, storage, management & accelerators. As part of the role, the candidate will work closely with other firmware engineers, developers, and architects across various IPs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participate in the architecture, development and verification of IP sub-systems that contain a mix of HW and FW components.
- Implementing features & protocols to design specification
- Performance & system-level analysis, optimization, HW bring-up & debug
- Test plan development & execution
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Multiple prior years of related firmware experience combined with technical education within the semiconductor industry.
- Team leadership experience & mentoring team members
- Experience with microcontrollers and embedded C/assembly programming.
- Familiarity with RISC-V CPUs.
- Familiarity with pre-silicon FW development environments including emulation and UVM test benches
- Familiarity with PCIe, CXL, UCIe and other I/O & memory related protocols.
- Familiarity with DevOps concepts such as CI/CD, test automation & revision control systems
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (preferred) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
