Description
Roles:This is a leadership role in our global system software team for Android system and mobile products. The architect will be responsible for innovating and developing high quality SDKs and software products for our platforms, driving complex and cross-functional feature sets together with both engineering leaders and product managers. The architect will also define and realize the strategy and roadmaps to scale the SDKs/APIs across Android ecosystem, developer community, and business partners. The ideal candidate should be an expert in Android platform stack from software system down to hardware interactions, and have strong soft skills in technology acumen, system abstraction, and technical communication.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and define the strategy and roadmaps for SDKs and software products for Android-based platforms.
• Lead and propose strategic innovations for SDKs and software products, design the high-level architecture of the software.
• Lead and drive the SDKs and software products to scale across Android eco-system, developer community, and business partners.
• Work closely with the engineering leaders and product managers to transform market demands into SDKs and software product roadmaps and solutions.
• Perform technical analyses and trend studies in depth on mobile product and system software industry.
• Evangelize the SDKs and software products, manage internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
Qualification:• Strong experience in building SDKs and driving eco-system with successful track record.
• Strong experience in architecting Android based products with successful track record.
• Senior expert in Android based system software stack from application, framework, kernel, down to drivers and firmware.
• Deep understanding in use cases and user experiences of consumer products.
• Strong experience in leading cross-geo team in a multi-cultural and multi-national environment.
• Strong soft skills in technology acumen and communication, analytical and problem-solving, critical thinking and thought leadership.
• Passionate about driving new technologies and making great impact to the industry.
• Self-disciplined, motivated, professional, and good team player.
Requirements:
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, or related majors are preferred.
• 10+ years experiences in Android platform, system software, and smart devices
• 5+ years system architect experiences in products with Android platform
• Excellent leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
