THE ROLE:
We are looking for a self-motivated Customer Debug Engineer interested in working with AMD’s latest cutting-edge technology in the server and AI product segment.
THE PERSON:
As an ideal candidate, you will be responsible for the following:
- Working on PCIe, Memory, MCA, micro-controller and RAS related failures with customers to get problems resolved
- Collaboration with AMD global teams to identify best solutions
- Providing design and debug recommendations to customers for validation and debug related questions
- Utilizing debug tools (e.g., protocol analyzers, SCAN and JTAG etc.) to narrow down and root cause customer failures
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collaborate with design, validation, and architecture teams for content coverage, test pattern development, validation, and debugging
- Develop test program infrastructure incorporating latest Best-Known methods
- Solves sophisticated, novel, and non-recurring problems; initiates significant changes to existing processes/ methods and leads development and implementation
- Identify and plan product improvement activities to reduce cost, improve yield and resolve quality issues
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
- Experience inclusive of any of the following areas:
- PCIe functional and protocol (e.g. Gen1~Gen5) debug, including PCIe IP bring up, validation and analysis.
- Memory functional and protocol validation and/or debug.
- MCA/MCE (Machine check architecture and exception) validation and/or debug.
- RAS (reliability, availability and serviceability) validation and/or debug.
- Experience of post silicon validation methodologies
- Experience of developing programming languages such as Python scripts
- Experience of handling various high-speed test and measurement equipment such as protocol analyzer and scope
- Experience of X86 micro architecture is a plus
ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in computer engineering or computer science or electrical engineering, or comparable disciplines
