Job Summary

Responsible for drawing conclusions, providing consumer insight and making recommendations based on strategic understanding of the data collected through analysis of business intelligence. May manages team including exempt and non-exempt employees. Provides subject matter guidance to employees as required. Develops processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies. Assists in development and meeting of departmental budget.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead BI Strategy: Design, implement, and manage a robust BI framework that aligns with business goals and drives decision-making.
  • Data Visualization: Utilize Tableau to build interactive dashboards and visual reports that present complex data in a clear and insightful manner.
  • Data Management: Oversee the extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes, and manage large datasets using SQL to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility.
  • Project Management: Coordinate cross-departmental BI projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery. Manage timelines, resources, and stakeholder communication using industry-standard project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders, including executives, data engineers, and analysts, to understand business needs and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and manage a team of BI analysts and developers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Performance Monitoring: Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of BI initiatives and ensure that insights are driving business growth.
  • Data Governance: Implement best practices for data security, integrity, and governance, ensuring compliance with organizational and legal standards.​

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Tableau: Extensive experience in building advanced dashboards and reports in Tableau, with a strong understanding of best practices for visualization and storytelling with data.
  • SQL Proficiency: Strong command of SQL, including complex queries, optimization techniques, and experience working with large datasets across relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
  • Project Management: Proven experience in managing BI or data-driven projects from concept to completion. Knowledge of project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Kanban is essential.
  • Leadership & Communication: Strong leadership and team management skills. Ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders and senior leadership.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical mindset with the ability to tackle complex data challenges and provide clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Technical Tools: Familiarity with other BI tools and data platforms is a plus (e.g., Power BI, Python, R).
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Mathematics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Certification in Tableau or Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).
  • Experience in ETL tools and processes.
  • Data Science/Machine learning/AI experience is a plus

Core Responsibilities:

  • Develops business requirements, assesses current reporting capabilities and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Creates actionable insight and understanding, through the analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data, building recommendations that directly address business objectives.
  • Identifies possible conflicts with the strategy and recommends cost-effective alternatives.
  • Conducts full analyses of changes impacting customers and operations and ensures impacts are accurately integrated into forecasts.
  • Carries out post-event analyses to validate forecast assumptions and identifies all additional factors associated with changes.
  • Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion in matters of significance.
  • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance. Must be able to work nights and weekends, variable schedule(s) and overtime as necessary.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation

National Pay Range: $80,117.62 USD-$187,775.67 USD

Comcast intends to offer the selected candidate base pay dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience.
