The work of this position will take place in the local Clackamas or Oregon City ODHS office.

Summary of Duties
As an Office Specialist 2, you will:
Provide clerical support to child welfare caseworkers and unit supervisors.
Serve as a receptionist at the front desk of the child welfare office – checking people in, providing customer service, answering the phone.
Ensure the timely production of all payments and policy and procedural requirements.
Review forms and letters for accuracy.
Process all paperwork, guaranteeing documentation of responsible services to clients and consumers.
Perform a wide variety of administrative, general office and record processing tasks.
Minimum Qualifications
Two years of general clerical experience that includes keyboarding, word processing, or other experience generating documents; OR
An associate degree in any field; OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Attributes
We are looking for candidates with:
Experience defining and explaining rules, regulations, and procedures for programs and services.
Experience navigating technology, inputting, and retrieving data, navigating various computer systems or databases, including Microsoft 365 programs.
Previous Administrative experience with working knowledge of basic office procedures.
Experience engaging and building collaborative relationships with community partners, agency staff, clients, and impacted communities.
Experience interacting with diverse groups of people in a respectful and compassionate manner.
*Preference will be given to candidates that are bilingual in Spanish and English.

Working Conditions
Your work will take place in the office.
Your typical work schedule will be Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time (PST).
You will have frequent travel between the Clackamas and Oregon City ODHS offices to provide coverage.
You will interact with a wide range of people including some who have experienced trauma and may exhibit challenges in controlling their emotions.
Background Checks and Requirements

Finalists must be cleared by the FBI Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) through a fingerprint-based criminal records check.
The Oregon Department of Human Services does not offer visa sponsorship. Within three days of hire, you will be required to complete the US Department of Homeland Security’s I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the United States. ODHS will use E-Verify to confirm that you are authorized to work in the United States.
