What is Portfolio Analytics Team responsible for?
BSP/Alcentra is seeking to hire an intelligent, tech-savvy, and highly motivated individual to join the Portfolio Analytics team. The Portfolio Analytics team provides support across various departments, including Business Development, Investor Relations, and the Investment Teams. This role will primarily focus on data collection and analysis, reporting and visualizations, database management, and support for various business teams with technology solutions. What are the ongoing responsibilities of BSP Portfolio Analytics Business Analyst?
Optimize, maintain, and modify existing dashboards and ETL workflows for enhanced performance and usability
Help develop new calculation and automation processes in Alteryx, SQL, or Python
Maintain database objects (tables, views, stored procedures) using SQL
Collaborate with colleagues across the firm to understand pain points and identify areas for improvement
Actively participate in automation projects to address business needs
Analyze current business processes and gather project requirements
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
One of more of:
Strong database skills with solid SQL expertise
Python for data analysis or automation
Proficiency in Alteryx
Data visualization experience in Tableau or Power BI
Proficiency in utilizing SharePoint, Power Automate, and Power Apps
Hands-on experience with cloud solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) is a strong plus
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Demonstrated ability to drive projects to completion with strong attention to detail
Motivated, self-starter with strong analytical skills, and an ability to grasp new concepts quickly
2+ years of relevant work experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or related fields
Basic understanding of investments and alternative asset management
Team player with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels within the firm
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
