About the Role
This role will be the first application development leader in Chennai, India and will be responsible for building at least 3 new scrum teams in the Financials area and supporting the hiring and onboarding for additional teams across PDQA.
Your efforts will help contribute to the Financials Global initiative, which could include, but is not limited to Tax, Compliance, and Supplier Accounts areas. In additional, you will be essential to the success of PDQA in India as we work to define how we work in the Chennai environment.
You will partner with Product and Technology leaders to understand the product areas and technical initiatives that we want teams to take on in Chennai. You will have an immediate impact on the business as this will be a stratgetic location to grow our teams.
Below is an overview of responsibilities for this role:
Lead and grow a passionate team of software engineering leaders and engineers
Ensure high degree of efficiency and effectiveness of your team
Champion and influence product solutions
Responsible for the overall management of architecture and production triage and support team
Partner closely with Product Management and Technical Directors
Provide insights and recommendations back to North American and EMEA leaders on learnings, improvements, and support needed for Chennai-based teams.
Raise issues and trade-offs to Sr. Leadership and effectively communicate decisions that impact multiple teams
Strong executive presence with ability to lead through focused, high pressure scenarios
Facilitate executive meetings, as well as cross team alignment meetings
Responsible for collaborating with cross functional teams
About You
You are an empathetic leader, comfortable driving the definition of strategic goals, and ensuring they are communicated effectively to your teams. You are passionate about solving customer problems, with a proven ability to prioritise based on delivering the most valuable and necessary solutions. Delegating effectively, you coach and mentor the next generation of senior leaders in your team, creating a working environment that builds trust, autonomy, psychological safety, and high levels of performance
Basic Qualifications
10+ years experience of Leadership, inclusive of leading high performing senior technical engineers/architects, and seasoned senior people leaders.
Strong understanding of software development lifecycle from conception to delivery
Experience working in Agile software development environment
Track record of leading high level strategy definition, roadmap forecasting, and delivery execution in a software product development environment.

Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Consistent track record of leading complex cross-functional technical initiatives
Experience communicating effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Background in a fast-paced and complex environment
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
A Master's Degree is a plus
