The Software Engineer participates in the entire software development lifecycle, with a primary focus on evergreen support of existing software solutions requiring significant knowledge of enabled business domain, workflows, and processes. We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to join our team and provide critical support for Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with specific experience in supporting, developing and maintaining Hyperion HFM systems. This role involves ensuring the smooth operation of HFM applications, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with various departments to optimize business processes. The role will require a high level of expertise in Oracle EPM Cloud Applications, along with a good understanding of financial processes, technical skills, and analytical abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and develop Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) applications, including data load processes via FDMEE for Hyperion Planning and HFM.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to HFM, including data integration, report generation, and system maintenance.
Perform system integration, performance, and user acceptance testing.
Support month-end close processes, metadata updates, and report updates.

Develop and maintain documentation for HFM processes, procedures, and best practices.
Assist in the design and implementation of new features and enhancements for HFM applications. Collaborate with IT and finance teams to understand business requirements and implement solutions that enhance HFM functionality. Support acquisitions and divestment activities.
Develop solutions to enhance planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and consolidation processes using Oracle EPM Cloud Applications and industry best practices.
Utilize Python, APIs, and EPM Automate to automate data administration tasks, improving FP&A processes globally.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of hands-on technical experience with Hyperion Financial management and Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) suite, including Smart View.
5+ years of support experience with Oracle EPM Cloud products.
Strong analytical skills and a dedication to high-quality service for business users.
Experience writing HFM rules, financial studio reports, calculation scripts, business rules, MAXL automation scripts, load rules, web forms, and financial reports.
Proficiency in developing solutions in HFM and Oracle EPM applications (Planning, FCC, EDM, and NR).
Strong skills with EPM components (ASO, BSO, Calculation Scripts, Business Rules, Load Rules, MaxL, and MDX).
Experience in scripting (Batch, Python, PowerShell) and custom integration development using EPM Data Integration, Data Integration Pipeline, EPM Automate. Experience in ETL and APIs
Knowledge of SQL Server databases and SQL language is a plus.
Experience with system integration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting. Experience with integrating HFM with other enterprise systems, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), to ensure seamless data flow and consistency
Strong understanding of Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, and financial consolidation methods. Strong understanding of financial management processes and systems (business planning & budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and consolidation)
Ability to create and maintain complex financial reports using tools like Hyperion Reports, Smart View, and other reporting tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
A proactive approach to identifying alternative and efficient solutions for process improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of IT architecture best practices, including cybersecurity and process automation.
Knowledge of IT security best practices and compliance requirements, ensuring that HFM systems are secure and meet regulatory standards
Familiarity with cloud computing and site reliability engineering.
