About the opportunity

While the planet is heating up, the Heat and Health Research Centre has been helping us cool down. As a testament to its success, the Faculty of Medicine and Health's Heat and Health Research Centre recently transitioned from an Incubator to an Impact Centre.  We have an opportunity for a Senior Research Fellow in Heat Physiology and Biotechnology to support the growth of the Centre into a globally recognised, leading authority on heat and health research.

The Heat and Health Research Centre has five research focus areas;

  • Maternal and Child Health

  • Aging and Chronic Diseases

  • Landscapes and the Built Environment

  • Humanitarian Settings

  • Physical Activity, Sport and Occupational Health

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Contribute to the research capability of the Centre with your established Heat and Health research projects

  • Provide mentorship to early career researchers

  • Support the research outputs of the Heat and Health Centre by developing synergies with government, industry and other research institutes.

About you

  • PhD in relevant field with an internationally emerging research profile

  • Demonstrated successful competitive research grants

  • Experience mentoring and building capacity in early career researchers or teams of researchers
