Job Description
Data ScientistKey Role:
Perform BI tool requirements analysis and maintain responsibility for designing, developing, modifying, and troubleshooting advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards, and other BI solutions. Perform and document data analysis, data validation, and data mapping or design. Review and improve existing systems and collaborate with teams to integrate new systems. Conduct tests on BI tools and develop database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues. Create tools to store data within the organization. Train operators to use BI tools.
Basic Qualifications:
- 4+ years of experience developing, maintaining, and managing Tableau driven dashboards and analytics
- Experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) tools
- Experience implementing automated build and deployment pipelines and supporting platforms
- Experience troubleshooting and supporting enterprise data applications
- Experience using Excel, including macros and pivot tables
- Knowledge of Tableau administration or architecture
- Secret clearance
- HS diploma or GED and 12+ years of experience with modern visualization tools, Associate’s degree and 8+ years of experience with modern visualization tools, or Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of experience with modern visualization tools
Additional Qualifications:
- Experience working with DoD ADVANA or Navy Jupiter platforms, specifically within the Tableau environment
- Experience connecting to and transforming data from database tables in Databricks and MS SQL
- Experience with Naval Aviation databases, including OOMA and DECKPLATE, PsILS, AMSRR, AFAST, ACES, ASM, or SHARP and MSHARP
Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.

The projected compensation range for this position is $77,500.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
