Job Description:
We are seeking a versatile and experienced Software Engineering Senior Advisor with a strong background in backend development and data engineering. The ideal candidate will have nearly 14 years of experience in building robust-based enterprise applications and data engineering solutions. The role involves designing and implementing scalable ETL pipelines, data warehousing solutions, and distributed systems to drive business value.

Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable AWS data processing and storage systems.
- Migrate data from on-premise systems to AWS cloud-based systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
 Streamline data pipelines using AWS services to enhance processing efficiency.
- Apply data warehousing and ETL techniques to improve storage and retrieval efficiency.
- Develop scalable ETL pipelines with Apache Spark and Databricks for data integration.
- Design retail-specific data models to enable cross-functional analytics.

- Deploy AWS serverless to handle large volumes of transactions and records.
- Build automated data pipelines using Apache Spark and AWS Lambda.
- Set up data quality checks and validation jobs to identify discrepancies reduce errors.
- Support the creation of dashboards and reporting views for retail KPIs.
- Optimize data ingestion and processing jobs to improve operational efficiency.
- Design and implement Spark-based data pipelines for large-scale dataset processing.
- Engineer features for customer profile enrichment and develop real-time recommendation systems.
- Ensure robust data validation and schema inspection using Spark's DataFrame APIs.
- Design and implement core backend microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
- Integrate PostgreSQL for efficient audit log storage and querying.
- Develop RESTful APIs for data exposure and integration.
- Utilize AWS infrastructure for hosting backend services, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Participate in design discussions and requirement gathering with clients.
- Provide support during UAT and IT phases and enhance performance of existing setups.

Qualifications:
- Nearly 14 years of experience in backend development and data engineering.
- Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and microservices architecture.
- Strong experience with AWS services (Glue, Redshift, S3, Lambda).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Git and Jenkins.
- Expertise in Apache Spark, Databricks, Kafka, and data warehousing solutions.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and system design.
- Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, MongoDB, and Oracle.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize data processing jobs.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Educational Background:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
