Broadridge is Growing. We are looking for a seasoned Senior Lead Software Engineer specializing in Java and AWS technologies based out of our New York or New Jersey offices, supporting our Shareholder Proxy platforms for our institutional, custodian, and retail clients.

Work Mode: We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed.  This role is considered hybrid, which means you’ll be coming into the office 2 days a week and given the flexibility to work remotely the rest of the time.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, development, and deployment of secure, high-performance Java based applications in AWS.
  • Work closely with the product/business organization on strategic planning to define product roadmaps and align with technical roadmaps.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of engineers to promote best practices and continuous learning.
  • Lead an Agile development team, while continuing to improve the Agile mindset and culture.
  • Collaborate with DevOps teams to optimize CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, or equivalent education and experience
  • 6+ years of professional experience in Java development, with strong knowledge of the Spring ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services such as MSK (Kafka), Elastic Search, EKS, ECS, Fargate, S3, Aurora Postgres, and Glue.
  • Strong understanding of secure coding practices, relational databases, and DevOps.
  • Knowledge of SQL and Oracle PL/SQL is a plus.
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
