Bank Physiotherapy Technician

Berkshire Hospital - Bank Physiotherapy Technician

The Role:

To assist the physiotherapy on the ward to continue treatment plans with inpatients including initial therapy assessments, joint replacement progression, provide interventions and facilitate discharge planning for a designated caseload of patients.

There will also be the necessity to support the team with administrative duties. The post holder will also be expected to partake in the delivery of group exercise and rehabilitation treatment programmes. We are looking for the successful candidate to have suitable experience who is passionate and enthusiastic that can bring their experience to our orthopaedic inpatient team.

You will have the opportunity to work jointly with a range of experienced staff and will work as part of a wider, multi-disciplinary team on the ward. Experience of working as a therapy assistant or in a hospital/caring rehabilitation environment is essential. This position would be an ideal opportunity if you are looking to broaden your knowledge and skills, or intend to train as a Physiotherapist in the future.

The physiotherapy department delivers a structured in-service training programme, underpinned by regular clinical supervision, mentoring, and peer group support.

• The successful candidate will be flexible and able to work weekend shifts as required to meet the needs of the hospital.
