About the Function

Diageo’s GBO supports a variety of global business processes. Statutory and management reporting mean two crucial functions that belong to GBO focus areas.

Senior Analyst acts as a primary enabler for these functions by maintaining, improving, and developing new / integrating external reporting solutions on platforms such as:

• ERP systems (SAP)
• Business Intelligence suites (SAP BW / BI)
• Customer Relationship Management systems (CRM)
• BPM applications (BPM)
• CoRe tool (Power BI)
• Structured Query Language server/databases (SQL)
• Other internal / externally managed reporting environments

with proper understanding of the underlying business function, end-to-end project management, and change management.

About the Role

The role requires an open personality able to understand complex issues and displaying interest in both the Business Processes and the underlying Technical Setup and Drivers.

Senior Analyst role requires a personality / character with:

Senior Analyst is a global coverage role, typically with stakeholders like:

• Financial Operations
• Financial Planning and Analysis
• Different Governance Teams
• Data and Analytics
• Application end-users in Business Units globally
• Members of the Application Support Networks
• 3rd party support partners and software vendors
• Other GBO support teams

Senior Analyst will support assigned Diageo markets in scope of relevant reconciliation processes. The scope might change as requirements change.

Technologies covered

The critical systems supported by the role are:

• SAP ECC (markets supported as per individual responsibility)
• SAP BW (management reporting and decision support)
• SAP CRM (closed loop commercial planning process)
• SAP CORE (global cost reporting tool for overheads)
• BW BPM (data insights and analytics for management reporting)  

Future migrations and projects will result in the absorption of other applications meaning an increasing maintenance, support, and administration responsibility within the remit of the current team. To guarantee the seamless nature of such changes, this role includes supporting the management and execution of any future enhancements outside the routine change process of Diageo’s current toolset.

BAU Operations

• Seamless BAU support on data integrity and quality reporting for all the supported systems and applications
• Driving the resolution process for the differences identified on a timely manner
• Manage ad-hoc reconciliations when requested by Line Manager
• Adhering to the global GBO process and reconciliation framework
• Maintaining strict adherence with established compliance and control processes (CARM, GAR, and/or external audit requirements)
• Bridge between business and technical teams. Translates business needs to Technical Teams and technical information to Business Teams
• Flexible working hours may be required at key closes and during essential work leading up to key closes

About You

Qualification
Degree in relevant Finance / Accounting or IS    

Work Experience

• At least 3 – 5 years of working experience in multinational corporate environment or shared service centre
• Strong Accounting, Financial Analysis/Reporting, and/or Data reconciliation and analysis experience
• Experience in Integrated Software System (SAP, BW, PowerBI is an advantage)
