Role: Staff Software Engineer
Location: Bangalore-Manyata Tech Park (Hybrid)

Business & Team

Financial Crime Services  enable critical business functions within the bank by creating reliable E2E solutions for tracking and reporting fincrime  leveraging both in-house solutions and industry leading products.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Drive the development of strategic programs of work, including proof of concept developments
  •  Utilise strong understanding of core business and technical strategies to deliver best business outcomes through technical implementation
  • Provide consultancy across projects and delivery teams
  • Lead and champion strategic practice development within team or platform
  •  Follow best practices and industry standards in the team Identify, gain support for, and ensure execution of strategic direction in areas of expertise
  • Take responsibility for nominated technical assets related to areas of expertise including roadmaps and technical direction
  • Mentor and up-skill other engineering teams across different squads
  • Contribute to internal online discussion around software engineering, delivery and technology (for example blog posts and knowledge base articles)
  • Drive the team under incidents in complex RCA and technical cause with an urgency on restoration of service and reducing customer impact.
  • Provide technical strategy and guidance, overseeing complex engineering initiative

Essential Skills

  • Hands on experience on Azure, DevOps, Jira, Confluence, Jenkins
  • Design and Architecture patterns on Swagger, SOAP UI, Postman Graphable
  • Strong Knowledge on C#.Net, Java, Java Script, Rest Services
  • Experience with Kubernetes and Containerization is desirable
  • Architecture principles, and building CI/CD pipelines
  • OpenText knowledge – Documentum and InfoArchive desirable but not a mandate
  • 18+ Years of overall IT experience
  • Good to have Scrum Master Certification
  • Good knowledge on JAWS, Axe, Lighthouse
  • We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these (or equivalents) will set you up for success in this team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree/Master’s degree in Engineering in Computer Science/Information Technology
