About the Team
Our mission is to help scale the Workday application platform and power the next wave of application growth and opportunity at Workday. We strive to deliver performance and scaling possibilities by partnering across the OMS organization with CXO, Change Intelligence and Query to drive efficiencies in runtime. Our team is based in Pleasanton CA and Boulder, CO serving our 2000+ Workday development community. Above all, we need a Software Engineer who knows how to deliver continual value to a business, making hard-working tradeoffs and taking calculated risks. Experience with compilers is a plus.About the Role
As a Software Development Engineer in the Data Processing team, you will be at the foundation of Workday's runtime. You, along with support from your outstanding team, will be developing new tooling and services capable of redefining our application developers experiences in delivering extraordinary applications to our customers. Our engineers are innovative, deep on development and informed about the latest technologies and trends. If you are fired up about working with developers who are creative and highly technical and you enjoy collaboration with knowledgeable Product Managers, we’d love to speak to you.
About You
Sr. Associate Software Development Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
- 2+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ years of distributed systems engineering experience applying one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Golang
- 1+ years troubleshooting high concurrency distributed systems in production.
Software Development Engineer
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Math or related field
- 4+ years of software engineering experience
- 1+ years of distributed systems engineering experience applying one or more of the following: Java, Scala, Python, Golang
- 1+ years troubleshooting high concurrency distributed systems in production.
Other Qualifications
- Strong systems programming skills including multi-threading, concurrency and performance
- Thrive in a fast paced, high energy work environment that is agile and deliver value incrementally and frequently
- You have a passion for code correctness (continuously improving testability and code quality)
- Experience in compiler design and abstract syntax trees
Workday Pay Transparency Statement
The annualized base salary ranges for the primary location and any additional locations are listed below. Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. As a part of the total compensation package, this role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants.
