In this role, you will be responsible for delivering compelling 2/2.5D graphics features for all of Google’s platforms. You will partner closely with native designers and web developers and work on underlying rendering to make graphic designs and effects come to life in Chrome, Android, Flutter, and many other products across Google. You will also deliver graphics for external partners across the industry. You will be part of a team based in Durham, working on advancing vector graphics to support delightful creatives for Chrome and a growing number of Google products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000-$200,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
  • Follow and implement new capabilities with emerging hardware and drivers (e.g., GPU, Compute) and work to deliver new APIs in our platforms.
  • Advance performance of Skia and Chrome graphics with novel algorithms and optimizations.
  • Interact with design and engineering teams to build cross-platform solutions.
  • Contribute to graphics test coverage and infrastructure as needed to ensure development efficiency and reliability.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
