  • The Manufacturing Automation Shift Captains are responsible for the coordination of Manufacturing Automation compressed workweek (CWW) Operations for all factory sites.
  • The Shift Captain will prioritize, coordinate and monitor the execution of cross-Service MA operations activities on a shift including Level 2 Incidents, Problems, Changes, Factory Help Needed Escalations and performance trend responses for all sites.
  • The Captain is the single Point of Contact for shift MA Service Operations to the MA Site Business Relationship and Operations Managers (BROMs), and partners with the MA Services to ensure the performance of MA Service Operations meets all sites' needs on a shiftly basis.
  • Shift Captains consult on cross-service problem solving on a shift, are responsible for initiating urgent Problem Solving Taskforces, and for the quality of post-incident documentation published from the MA Services on their shift.
  • The Captain leads the shiftly One MA Automation Operations Meeting (ADOM) as the primary execution coordination meeting for MA Service Operations.
  • The Captain will coordinate with peers and partners to ensure standardization of cross-shift execution and consistencies in business practices.
  • The Captain is also expected to work with peers and stakeholders to drive continuous improvement to MA shift productivity through (for example) business process innovation or task automation.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree, with 3+ years experience in Manufacturing Automation engineering positions (L1 or L2 support).
  • Strong understanding of Automation business processes.
  • Work across organizational boundaries.
  • Problem solving methodologies.
  • Communication skills.

Working Model

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
