The Audio and Media Technologies Group (AMT) is looking for a creative, self motivated and dedicated software engineer to join the AirPlay team to help build the future foundations of AirPlay.
Audio and Media Technologies (AMT) provides the media foundation across all of Apple's innovative products including iPhone, iPad, Mac, AppleTV, and operating systems. Combining ground breaking software techniques with next-generation hardware, AMT takes the media experience to the next level.

Description
As an AirPlay engineer, you will be responsible for prototyping breakthrough ideas, developing features, contributing to systems design, analyzing performance in the foundations of AirPlay technology. You will build the future of AirPlay.
To be successful in this role, you need to be versatile and able to thrive in a fast paced environment. You must be a team-oriented professional with excellent communication skills, excellent judgment, integrity and the ability to make timely and sound decisions. You must have strong technical and programming skills, and a solid understanding of multithreaded programming and programming on realtime systems. You have a background in Video or Audio technologies and have a good understanding of the various media formats. Experience with performance analysis and optimizations is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

Key Qualifications
- Strong programming skills with C/C++.
- Solid understanding of multithreading and concurrency fundamentals
- Familiarity with Media Playback fundamentals, audio and/or video streaming
- 3+ years industry experience
Preferred Qualifications
Education & Experience
BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent
