The salary listed is the non-PERS (Public Employee Retirement System) qualifying salary range. Prior to applying you should ensure all sections of your Workday Job History page is accurate and complete. This information is utilized during the pay equity analysis phase.
Summary of Job Duties:
In this position, you will apply basic accounting theory to account for revenues and accounts receivables. You will reconcile entries made into sub-systems and align with entries made into the State Financial Management Application (SFMA), review fiscal transactions are in conformity with GAAP, statute, policy and procedures, and create basic revenue and receivable reports for routine analysis.
Minimum Qualifications/Eligibility Requirements:
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant or Certified Government Financial Manager certificate;
OR
A bachelor’s degree in accounting;
OR
Successful completion of the State of Oregon Accounting Career Mobility Program or equivalent accounting certificate program from an accredited college or university;
OR
32 quarter (21 semester) credit hours in Accounting from an accredited institution AND two years of technical, para- professional accounting experience to include: a) classifying, analyzing, and reconciling financial data and records; b) designing, recommending, and installing modifications of accounting methods, procedures, forms, and records; c) preparing financial statements and reports; d) analyzing and interpreting laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances to ensure the legality of financial transactions; and e) analyzing, interpreting, and making recommendations related to accounting transactions, accounts and account relationships resulting in accounting entries.
Preferred Skills:
Experience using the Statewide Financial Management Application (SFMA)
Ability to communicate well with customers and stakeholders.
Demonstrated skill in accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
Ability to prioritize, organize and complete work in a timely manner to include moving between several complex issues throughout the day.
