Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in product management or related technical role.
- 2 years of experience developing or launching infrastructure products or technologies within networking, storage, compute hardware, databases, file systems, data analytics, cluster management, and other software infrastructure areas.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree in a technology or business related field or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in a business function or role (e.g., strategic marketing, business operations, consulting).
- 3 years of experience in preparing and delivering technical presentations to senior leadership.
- 2 years of experience in software development or engineering.
- 2 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX/UI, sales finance, and other stakeholders.
- 1 year of experience in technical leadership.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Drive new capabilities for the Virtual Machine (VM) instances in cloud including intercepting new technologies, roadmap planning, business growth forecasting, ecosystem and customer adoption.
- Responsible for the product strategy for the VM family including the associated business outcomes including presenting to key leadership inside Google Cloud.
- Understand the competitive dynamics and industry trends on where the innovation is happening for both workloads and hardware.
- Drive new capabilities in the foundational Compute Infrastructure layer (Hypervisor and Virtualization Stack) and deliver innovation for Google Cloud.
