The Software Engineer Intern will embark on an exciting journey to contribute to modernization projects, including Generative AI development and Cloud Migration. This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a dynamic team, creating innovative solutions and gaining valuable insights into the financial industry. As a Software Engineer Intern, you will collaborate closely with experienced team members to drive software development projects. Your responsibilities will encompass requirement analysis, coding, testing, and documentation. Additionally, you will have the chance to engage in transformative projects, allowing you to make a meaningful impact on our technological landscape.

Summer Internship: May 2025 - August 2025

Key Job Functions/Responsibilities

  • Actively participate in the development of AI applications, leveraging your skills in Typescript, React and AWS.

  • Proactively use AI tools to accelerate the software development lifecyle in an Agile environment.

  • Engage in research initiatives to support the development team in overcoming challenges and exploring new technologies.

  • Partner with our business team to analyze software requirements and contribute to tailored solutions.

  • Take ownership of technical documentation, ensuring it remains up-to-date and reflects the latest project developments.

  • Create scripts to automate deployment into AWS Cloud environments.

  • Provide regular and timely updates to the management, keeping all stakeholders informed of progress and potential roadblocks.

Basic Skill Level Requirements

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in year 2 or higher of an undergraduate program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering.

Experience:

  • Strong Programming Proficiency in Typescript and React, with a proven track record of successful full-stack projects.

  • Solid experience in Web Development, including proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS.

  • Solid working knowledge of both relational and NoSQL databases.

  • Familiarity with industry-standard development tools, including Eclipse and Git.

  • Proficiency in AWS, Java and REST API will be an asset.

  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
