About the role:
Basecone is looking for a passionate Junior Product Software Engineer - Backend to join our team. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, has some experience with .NET, and is excited to contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies that help Basecone deliver a world-class product to its customers.
What you’ll do:
- You will assist in developing microservices based on cloud PaaS components, learning to work with serverless and event-driven architectures.
- You’ll use .NET and DevOps technologies to support backend development tasks.
- Collaborate closely with senior team members to implement features and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Basic knowledge of .NET (C#) and hands-on software development experience, either from internships, personal projects, or entry-level roles.
- Eager to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.
- Willingness to work in an Agile Scrum team, actively contributing to the sprint goals.
- Good communication skills to coordinate with other team members on shared tasks.
- Interest in learning new technologies and software products.
- Familiarity with concepts like tightly coupled vs. loosely coupled systems is a plus.
- Understanding of core .NET development concepts like the .NET MVC Framework, WebAPI, and Microservices (previous experience is beneficial but not required).
- Awareness of cloud providers like Azure or AWS is advantageous.
- 0-2 years of programming experience with server-side web technologies, object-oriented or scripting languages like C#, .NET, and basic understanding of related technologies like SQL, JSON, and XML.
- Strong motivation to develop analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to take on challenges, learn from senior engineers, and contribute to the team's success.
- Basic understanding of software development best practices and willingness to improve.
