Wolters Kluwer is seeking a talented engineering manager to join our team and play a pivotal role in developing and improving industry-leading accounting software solutions.
Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead and manage our software development teams. In this role you will be responsible for optimizing team performance, ensuring high-quality deliverables and leading the team to success and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
Lead, mentor, and manage software engineering teams, ensuring clear goals and performance expectations are set.
Develop and implement team objectives, ensuring alignment with company goals.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
Foster effective communication and collaboration between onshore and offshore teams.
Project Management:
Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of software projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
Focus on business success, Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and scope.
Stakeholder Communication:
Maintain regular communication with senior management, providing updates on project status, team performance, and potential risks.
Act as a liaison between the engineering team and other departments, facilitating cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred skills:
Master degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar by experience
Proven experience managing onshore & offshore teams and remote collaborations.
Strong knowledge of software development methodologies, tools, and technologies.
Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Fluent in English and Dutch.
