Job Summary
KBR is seeking a senior software engineer that is highly skilled in web development & full stack web development, cloud development, software documentation, project management, and software architecture. The successful senior software engineer candidate will be part of the distributed KBR team supporting the Test Resource Management Center (TRMC) Chief Data Office. The candidate will be integrating applications within a data center’s technical stack, containers, virtual machines, as well as integrating with access controls.
JOB IS FROM: italents.netVIEWTRMC provides weapons systems testing capabilities for U.S. warfighters. TRMC supports thousands of personnel at over 1300 test facilities across nine time zones.
The successful candidate will be part of the TRMC software development team and work with the Chief Data Officer, providing software development capability to the CDO organization. Transparency and documentation will be second to none.
The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in web development & full stack web development, cloud development, software documentation, project management, and software architecture.
The candidate will need to live in Virginia close to TRMC’s Mark Center.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Design and development of complex software systems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
- Develop and maintain high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software systems.
- Design and implement cloud-based solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Participate in Agile development methodologies in combination with engineering design, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
- Manage and prioritize project tasks to ensure timely delivery.
- Work closely with project stakeholders to understand and deliver project requirements.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in software development.
- Able to work properly in a hybrid work environment which includes remote and flexible onsite office times for meetings, software integration, software testing, and software support.
Basic Qualifications:
- CANDIDATES MUST POSSESS AND ACTIVE GOVERNMENT SECRET CLEARANCE IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 8 years or more of experience in software development, with a focus on web development, full stack development, cloud technology, and Agile methodologies.
- US Citizen
- Must be eligible for TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience leading and mentoring junior engineers to ensure successful project delivery.
- Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
- Experience with cloud-based development and deployment using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban (Atlassian tools preferred).
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Familiar with Container usage and creation
- Familiar with Virtual Machine configuration and setup with application integration
- Familiar with integrating applications in DOD environment and performing Cyber Security Software accreditation.
