Data Scientist, Senior

Key Role:

Explores and operationalizes data sources using scientific processes and technologies to uncover and communicate product and business insights. Applies specific functional knowledge and working and general industry knowledge. Develops or contributes to solutions to a variety of problems of moderate scope and complexity. Works independently with some guidance, and reviews or guides activities of junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8 years of experience in data science
  • Experience with DoD contracts, translating client requirements into final deliverables, and leading small group projects
  • Experience with using Python and Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of scientific or engineering methods, and techniques for the production of integrated, all-source scientific and technical intelligence assessments of foreign defense capabilities
  • Ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information and interpret analysis to include its meaning, importance, and implications

  • Ability to defend analytic judgements with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgements when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments
  • Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools, electronic or soft copy matrices, or web-enabled formats
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master’s degree

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with AnyLogic and Tableau software suites
  • Ability to use innovative tools and techniques, coupled with all-source analysis to identify, define and assess foreign adversary capabilities and vulnerabilities
  • Ability to communicate information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, or technically advanced
  • Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar skills and communicating complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner
  • Master's degree in a related scientific field

Clearance:
Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $96,700.00 to $220,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
