The Senior Data Scientist uses mathematics, statistics, modeling, business analysis, and technology to transform high volumes of complex data into advanced analytic solutions. The Senior Data Scientist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Senior Data Scientist:
Develops, maintains, and collects structured and unstructured data sets for analysis and reporting.
Creates reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business strategy and tactics.
Begins to influence department’s strategy.
Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.
Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree and 5 years of technical experience OR Master's Degree and 3 years of technical experience
Cloud Certification within one of the following:
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate
Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate
Databricks Certified: Machine Learning Professional
Databricks Certified: Data Engineer Associate
3 years of coding experience within Python/PySpark, and SparkSQL/SQL. (Coding examples will be requested during interview process)
2 years of AIOps experience – Automating (MLP, Deep Learning, or LLM Models) via cloud data engineering pipelines within Azure Synapse and Databricks.
2 years of experience in big data processing, data discovery, rapid prototyping, model lifecycle management, model deployment, and solution and data monitoring.
2 years of experience working with APIs, managing source control code/tooling, and managing python packages.
2 years of experience with prompt engineering and hyperparameter tuning.
Experience with assignments that involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Experience in creating reports, projections, models, and presentations to support business.
Capable of making decisions regarding own work methods, occasionally in ambiguous situations.

Work at Home Guidance
To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates’ ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:
At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
