The Team:  The position is in the Data Stewardship organization for the Technology, Media & Telecommunications (TMT) team within Industry Data cluster within S&P Global Market Intelligence. TMT includes wide suite of product offering across the four core Media industry segments of: Communications, Media & Entertainment, New Media, and Technology.

The Impact: The analyst will be responsible for working closely with cross-functional groups like product management, research, and technology teams on TMT product evolution & expansion, operational transformation, client-first projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

    Writing functional requirements for Content tools & solutions (CTS form, applications, loaders, aggregates, data structures etc.), collaboratively working with the technology team to implement these requirements into development:

  • Work collaboratively with multiple teams, gather and refine requirements, create timely & accurate user stories, maintain media backlog for content user stories and bugs, timely groom user stories and discuss them with stakeholders for prioritization; provide timely and adequate support to developers and QAs with requirements and testing.

    • Deliver data analysis to drive requirements and decisions.

    • Discover, engage, evaluate, assess 3rd party vendors for outsourcing opportunities to strengthen the dataset and product offering.

    • Ensure timely content\data readiness for each release – support with data clean-up/audit/generic backfill Or load processes.

    • Drive and lead the transition from expansion to maintenance in an efficient, methodical, and transparent manner - Documentation and efficient workflow process in place for on-going maintenance.

    • Constantly evaluate quality practices and try to embed quality into the design of the process.

    • Contribute to improve data accuracy and drive operational efficiency with identifying and implementing Lean, RPA, Automation solutions.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor/Master’s degree preferably in Economics, Business, Finance, IT, or related field.

  • Have at least 2 years of work experience.

  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum Or SAFe process. Experience of working in Agile would be an added advantage.

  • Proficient knowledge of relational database, Data Management System (DMS).

  • Proficient knowledge in SQL & advanced MS Office.

  • Knowledge of data analysis and visualization tools is nice to have.

  • Exposure of Lean and automation tools is desirable.

  • Strong analytical skills and data-oriented mindset.

  • Good oral and written communication skills is required for the position.

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize.
