As we continue our pursuit of NPS +30 we need to transform the way we engage with our customers and support communities and people. Your role involves thought leadership, AI solution design, and designing and developing cutting edge AI models to uplift operational efficiency and customer experience.
We support the broader group to leverage AI capabilities through rapid prototyping, proof-of-concept development, and support integration into existing platforms. Our team creates tangible AI solutions, from initial concept to functional prototypes, working closely with other teams to incorporate these innovations into our current infrastructure and processes.

As a Chapter Lead of Data Science & AI in the Chief Operations Office (COO), you'll guide a team of data scientists working on practical AI solutions. This role reports directly to the Chapter Area Lead of Data Science & AI in COO.
You'll help your team members grow their skills, oversee the full end to end modelling life cycle across a variety of projects as both a technical expert and people leader. We're looking for someone who can explain complex ideas clearly, enjoys solving tough problems, and can motivate a team to do their best work. If you're excited about using AI to make a real difference in our products and want to help others learn and grow, we'd love to have you lead in our team.

We are seeking people who:

- Have a strong background in data science and AI, and willing to learn and jump into the deep end of technical problems and dive into code.
- Have technical experience developing Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Generative AI systems
- Passionate about emerging tech and methodologies and a continuous learning mindset
- Can translate complex AI concepts into practical, real-world solutions
- Have a track record of leading projects from concept to implementation and beyond
- Have excellent communication skills and strong business acumen
- Are adaptable and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving field
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and creative thinking
- Have leadership experience in the AI field
Tech skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks, which means our people managers are technology leaders that will lead, manage, empower, and inspire a diverse group of data scientists with various strengths and broad range of skillsets.
We do not expect you to have managed teams working with all of these, but having experience and exposure with leading teams that specialise in some of these (or equivalents) is encouraged.
- Team management and direct people management
- Experience in conducting proof of concept work
- Technical experience in Machine Learning / Deep Learning / Gen AI
- Technical experience in deploying various types of models
- Python, Gen AI frameworks & tools
