You will join the Data Products & Data Delivery domain within the Chief Data and Analytics Office (‘CDAO’). We are a multi-disciplinary team of passionate end-to-end data & analytics delivery professionals that enables data delivery democratisation and autonomy, as well as uplift data maturity and literacy across the Group. We provide data delivery thought leadership and guidance and create leading examples of delivering data safely and swiftly for the Group.
In this role
As a Senior Technical Data Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to enable data delivery democratisation and autonomy by producing the Enterprise Semantic Data Model.
Other duties will include:
Work closely with Data Design and other stakeholders in order to build out the Enterprise Semantic Data Model Framework
Work closely with stakeholders to support the design of the semantic model
Create fully formed playbooks providing guidance across the organisation
Work across multiple delivery streams to deliver value in technical and business outcomes
Analyse data profiles, data lineage and data patterns in data risk mitigation strategies
Gathering requirements and providing input into solution design and data modelling decisions
Analyse and document business/functional processes and requirements using standard analysis methodologies and tools
We’re interested in hearing from people who have
5+ years of experience in a similar role
Strong stakeholder management and requirements gathering skills
Strong expertise in data intensive environments including databases, data lake houses, data warehouses and data platforms.
Strong understanding of data delivery life cycle & associated concepts including data analysis, data profiling, data design, data modelling, data ingestion, data cleansing, data extraction, data definitions/dictionary, data lineage mapping, data classification, data quality, etc.
Strong documentation skills
Good understanding of data management and data governance processes
Experience of working with SQL to conduct data analysis and data profiling.
Financial services and banking domain experience
Experience with AWS Cloud platform and Snowflake is desirable
Be able to complete the AWS Associate Data Engineer Certification within role
