Audio Algorithm Lead Engineer – Audio BU The Consumer Audio Amplifier product line is hiring an Audio DSP firmware engineer to support its Smart Amplifier products. In this role you will be part of a team that develops and implements real-time audio processing solutions to deliver innovative audio and speech experience through audio amplifiers and haptics. Candidate will be responsible for designing developing, optimizing, debugging and testing Audio and Haptics including speaker protection, audio enhancements, Haptics control and non-linear control algorithms. The candidate should be proficient in Matlab/Simulink, Python, embedded C. Engineer will collaborate with multiple teams across design, systems and application to integrate the algorithm on TI audio devices. · Design and implement Speech, Audio and haptics algorithms on Matlab/Simulink/Python and Implement on embedded C, neural network accelerators based Digital Signal Processors · Develop and optimize algorithm DSP algorithms to ensure real-time performance and minimal latency using signal processing and machine learning techniques
· Develop unit tests and performance benchmarks to validate algorithm performance and robustness. Analyze and debug issues related to audio quality and system performance Minimum Requirements: · Master’s degree with specialization in signal processing · 5+ years’ experience in Audio signal processing algorithm development · MATLAB, Python, C programming experience required · Experience in audio, speech, DSP, and embedded systems. · Deep understanding of Signal processing, DSP fundamentals, Deep Neural Network preferably in audio · Hands-on experience in signal processing techniques such as digital filter design (IIR, FIIR), adaptive filtering, sub-band processing, frequency domain processing and non-linear compensation · Strong debugging/trouble-shooting skills of embedded systems Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with digital signal processing techniques · Bringing up audio hardware and prototyping systems · Ability to work with a cross domain teams or independently as needed · Knowledge of AI/ML algorithms and tools such as PyTorch/Tensorflow, deep learning or natural language processing and familiarity with common neural network architectures namely LSTMs, CNNs and RNN is a plus |
Minimum Requirements:
Master’s degree with specialization in signal processing
