At Manulife IT Delivery Center, we are looking for a rock star Senior Backend Software Engineer (Jasper Reports, Angular/Java), who is excited to see the successful implementation of the products they deliver. You will have experience in designing, developing, testing, maintaining, and improving software applications as a member of an Agile squad.
We are looking for someone with:
- Minimum of 8 years of software engineering experience
- Experience in JASPER REPORTS Customization, Integration, Optimization and Design
- Experience in Backend technologies such as JavaScript, Node, and Java
- Experience in working with RDMBS and NoSQL Database
- Experience in Framework and API / Service Layer such as Spring Boot (Rest Template, Feign Client, Zuul, Sleuth/Zipkin, Hystrix and Maven), Swagger, Node/Express.
- Experience in Monitoring / Logging tools such as New Relic, Devo, and Kibana.
- Experience in Test Driven Technologies such as Jasmine, JEST, Mocha, Junit, Mockito (Java)
- Experience in Cloud PaaS and microservice architectures in Kubernetes.
- Experience in Agile scrum methodologies and experience of working in an View Orignal JOB on: italents.netAgile team.
You will stand out if you have:
- Experienced in grasping and explaining high level solution architecture.
- Knowledge in Snyk, SonarQube and WebInspect
- Experience in CSS Best practices and Framework like Material UI, BEM, SMACSS, CSS Flexbox, CSS Grid
On the job you will:
- Align the direction of the project reporting solution with Manulife’s enterprise architecture and standards.
- Design, customize and optimize the reporting solution for integrating with specific SSO solutions.
- Provide guidance to the delivery teams throughout the whole lifecycle from design, to build, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
- Optimize the Jasper reports environment and help maximize product performance and report execution times.
- Lead an agile squad to deliver sprint commitments with a high quality.
- Design application components that are reusable, efficient, and easy to maintain
- Refactor existing code to improve reliability, performance, and maintainability.
- Research, evaluate, and prototype emerging technologies.
- Mentor Intermediate and Associate Software Engineers
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners and other stakeholders in an Agile environment.
- Work closely with other squads to drive innovative solutions to meet business needs.
- Work closely with software engineers to establish best practices for development, testing, and delivery.
