Job Description
Our MSI CTO Systems and Solutions team consists of multiple standalone scrum teams working on and developing emerging solutions and business-aligned projects. We develop and integrate video solutions, analytics features and sensor systems for more streamlined operations while bringing to life highly innovative end-to-end products, including AI-powered fever detection and a remote drone piloting system. We are also responsible for the creation and continuous development of the Orchestrate workflow management ecosystem for MSI Safety Reimagined portfolio.
The Orchestrate Ecosystem Team is responsible for building connection integrations between Motorola Solution products and the Orchestrate platform. Our developers work in full stack team(s) to design, develop, test, deploy and manage all aspects of the connector integration. As a student, you will gain hands-on experience working with the latest software and cloud development tools while participating as a full member of our Agile scrum team.
What we are looking for:
C#, C++, Java, Javascript, PHP
Knowledge of object-oriented design methodologies, threading, and resource management
Understanding of API concepts and OS-level virtualization
Familiarity with Web Automation test tools
Passion for developing clean and easy to maintain software with high-quality standards
Excellent communication skills
Studying towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Computer engineering or science
Desired Background/Knowledge/Skills:
Experience with microservice design and development
Familiar defining and implementing robust APIs (REST)
Understanding of CI/CD and Test automation concepts
Working knowledge with mixed WebApp / Mobile App development is a definite asset

Virtualization using both Docker and Kubernetes
Note: Candidate will be in the Chicago office 1-2 times per week.

Basic Requirements
High School Diploma is required
Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree with a graduation date of Dec 2025 or later
Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required. Employer work permit sponsorship is not available for this position.
