Hybrid: This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Concord, NC three times per week, at minimum. Given the need to support some live race events during weekend, this role might require the ability to work a flexible schedule.
The Role
This role will work within the GM Motorsports Software Engineering group supporting multiple GM Motorsports programs: NASCAR, IndyCar, IMSA, WEC, and F1. Our group is responsible of fast-producing software solutions for race teams partners. You will work with the end users to ensure that a consistent product is provided and maintained, so they can rely on these tools to improve their performance and optimize the execution of race events. Another essential aspect of this role will be to collaborate closely with other internal GM Motorsports groups to build understanding and produce the best outcome for our clients. The end goal of GM Motorsports is to win races and championships across all programs, so you will leverage resources across the organization to effectively transform requirements from clients into software solutions and increase the competitiveness of all GM racing programs at the track.
What You'll Do
Contribute as part of the team that designs, implements, tests, and maintains during the full lifecycle of the software application development.
Write code that is efficient, reusable, reliable, and technical specifications based on conceptual designs and business requirements.
Collaborate with Product Managers and various business partners to create effective identity solutions.
Proactively contribute with debugging, code-reviews, troubleshooting, identifying bugs and solutions to address and mitigate them.
Demonstrate strong ownership of the product and service, providing expertise and insights to collaborating engineering teams.
Work closely with race teams to perform software architecture assessments and prepare technical documentation to capture all requirements and implement them properly.

What You’ll Need (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related field.
6+ years of professional software experience developing applications in C#, .NET

Experience consuming and implementing REST APIs (ASP.NET Web APIs).

Experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, CosmosDB, DynamoDB).
Experience with Unit Tests.
Experience of cloud computing (Azure and/or AWS).
Experience with Dockers containers.
Experience using Git for version control, DevOps (Azure Dev Ops, Jira) and CI/CD practices for agile environments.
