Job Description
We are looking for a smart, self-motivated and versatile Software Engineer, Co-Op. We are seeking a Co-Op who is able to work with us part time starting in January 2025 for atleast 6 months with the possibility to extend. In this role, you will work closely with other engineers to build, test and deploy our software application suite. Tests can be manual or automated in nature and you must be comfortable operating server infrastructure in a datacenter. In order to be successful in this role, you must value teamwork and collaborate effectively with a small but dynamic team. We expect our interns to have attention to detail to ensure our highest quality.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual / automated test suites to ensure no regressions have occurred in a release
- Execute test results are summarized clearly
- Report all found defects back to the team
- Maintain and update test plans as needed
- Create or maintain automated test suites as needed
- Follow established guidelines in the testing of software products
- Maintain and organize lab where product is tested
- Be able to effectively communicate the progress of testing activities and known roadblocks
- Work individually at times, as well as part of a team.
- Should be a self-starter that is organized and detail oriented.
- Should drive to continually grow skills and knowledge of best test practices,tools and code use.
- Use strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues.
- Contribute toward our continuous improvement culture
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's program in Computer Science or related STEM discipline
- Proficiency in C#, JAVA or other object oriented programming language
- Computer science fundamentals in OO design, computer systems, functional programming, data structure, relational database
This position is based in either Fresno, CA or Fort Collins, CO and the candidate must reside in the greater area as you will be required to go into the office on a hybrid work schedule.
The hourly wage for this position in California and Colorado is $22/hr - $28/hr.
