We're hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer for a short-term role to develop a software that employs artificial intelligence to manage ship and crew risks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new software or enhance existing platforms to connect with multiple devices (e.g., smartwatches and tablets) and databases (e.g., AIS and weather data).

• Design and implement systems to monitor and control ship risks and enhance seafarer wellbeing.

Job Requirements:

• Education Qualification: Degree in Software Development and Engineering or equivalent

• Key Computing Skills:

  • Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript (preferably TypeScript).

  • Experience with Node.js.

  • Competence in React.

  • Knowledge of SQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MariaDB).

  • Knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, CouchDB, or Redis).

• Interpersonal skill

  • Ability to work independently and develop solutions under strict timelines

  • Meticulous attention to detail, with excellent organisational and time management skills

• Strong written and oral communication abilities

• Familiarity with the maritime industry is an advantage
