Key Responsibilities:
Seeking research assistant to investigate the impacts of various area-based conservation measures (e.g. REDD+ projects and protected areas) on tropical forests around the world
Contribute to a better understanding of market- and non-market based conservation measures through data collection, analysis, and dissemination of findings
Role will involve acquisition and processing of spatial data, statistical analyses, report writing and manuscript preparation and provision of administrative support on research-related matters
Support the development of policy-relevant and multidisciplinary conservation research
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in natural science, climate science, geography, data science, engineering, or a related field is mandatory.
Proficient with the collecting, processing and analysis of geospatial data.
Prior experience with causal inference approach is preferred
Competent in statistical analyses and data visualisation tools.
Skills with coding/scripting using R and/or Python programming languages.
Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
Highly self-motivated and independent with the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
