About the Role
An opportunity currently exists for an experienced physiotherapist to join the physiotherapy department providing backfill across our campuses. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing high quality, overall physiotherapy management to patients of the Fitzroy or Kew campus of St. Vincent’s Hospital, as directed by the Workforce manager.
You will join a cohesive and progressive integrated team, committed to excellence in clinical practice, research and professional development. This opportunity will allow you to use your broad range of acute and subacute physiotherapy assessment and treatment knowledge.
- Provide supervision of students, Grade 1 staff, and Allied Health Assistants, taking a leadership role within the department
- Provide appropriate clinical management for delegated patients
- Assessment, planning and treatment including education for all patients
- Communicate assessment and treatment outcomes to nursing, medical and other Allied Health staff via documentation and handovers, to an exceptional level. JOB IS FROM: italents.netVIEW
- Clinical supervision and teaching of physiotherapy students, both undergraduate and postgraduate, as required
- Develop and promote new initiatives regarding service provision
Applications from current grade two physiotherapists or suitably experienced grade one physiotherapists will be considered. Relevant postgraduate qualifications would also be highly regarded.
Classifications for this position will range from VB1 – VB4 ($88,467 - $101,691 per annum, pro rata).
Your Contribution
- Recent experience in and knowledge of physiotherapy management in a board range of acute and sub-acute health care settings
- Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
- Knowledge of and commitment to continuous quality improvement
- Experience with student supervision
- Must have, or be currently eligible for, National Physiotherapist Registration.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills
- A valid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History check, or willing to obtain
