What Will You Do?
As a Data Analyst, you will evaluate complex Paid Leave Oregon Program performance and effectiveness to meet stated goals.
You will:
Track, analyze, evaluate and report on employee and program performance, designing and interpreting reports from systems.
Formulate long-term and short-term forecasts, objectives and business plans for Paid Leave Oregon Programs and make recommendations to the Paid Leave Oregon Equity and Innovation Supervisor.
Process and analyze data using various tools and data visualization tools such as Tableau to identify trends, make predictions, establish recommendations, and draw conclusions for various management teams throughout the Oregon Employment Department.

What We Are Looking For (Desired Attributes):
Ability to apply statistical and predictive modeling technique to analyze historical data, evaluate key performance indicators, and forecast future trends.
Knowledge in implementing data quality assurance processes and maintaining data governance standards to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytics used in decision-making.
Direct professional experience working with Excel, Tableau, R or an equivalent evaluation tool suitable for data analysis. Ideally experience working with one or more of the following: Calabrio Workforce Management, Contact Center Reporting, Cisco, and /or Oracle Business Intelligence Tool.
Proven ability to partner with management to define project objectives, prepare and process data, apply analytical tools to draw insights, and effectively communicate findings to support strategic decision making.
Experience conducting in-depth analysis of program rules, policies, and operations; conducting research; and adapting or creating new procedures to evaluate program goals and objectives.
Excellent oral and written communication skills to a broad range of people at different levels of technicality and formality.
Demonstrated experience building and fostering relationships with a diverse group of partners including colleagues, interested parties, communities, organizations, and businesses.
Required Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Public Administration, Behavioral or Social Sciences, Finance, Political Science or any degree demonstrating the capacity for the knowledge and skills; and two years professional-level evaluative, analytical and planning work; OR
Any combination of experience and education equivalent to five years of experience that typically supports the knowledge and skills for the classification.

Additional Information:
This is a limited duration assignment currently funded through June 30, 2025. Limited duration appointments are regular status and benefits eligible. This position may be extended beyond this date and/or have continued funding approved in the future with the potential to become permanent.
